Why Quail? A Better Experience for Students

Students can witness a complete life cycle—from hatching to egg-laying—within just 12 weeks, making the experience more engaging and dynamic.
By comparison, completing the same program with chickens would take 20–24 weeks. Chicken eggs require 21 days to hatch, and chicks take 6–8 weeks to outgrow the brooder stage. Chickens don’t begin laying eggs until they are 18–24 weeks old, making it difficult to observe the full life cycle within a single semester. Quail’s faster timeline ensures students stay engaged while learning essential lessons about life science, sustainability, and agriculture. Choose your preferred start date and reserve your Egg-to-Egg rental kit. Each kit is designed to support a full 12-week program, with everything you need delivered right to your door.
Comprehensive STEM Curriculum
Inside the kit, you'll find a detailed STEM-based lesson plan tailored to different grade levels. Each lesson includes activities and experiments tied to the quail’s development and care, ensuring a rich educational experience. Everything needed is included!
Step-by-Step Guidance
From hatching to raising quail, you'll receive easy-to-follow instructions, videos, weekly support check-ins, and a community of other program facilitators to collaborate with. Our resources ensure that even first-time participants can confidently care for the quail and complete the activities.
Wrap-Up and Return
At the end of the 12-week program, participants can choose to keep the quail or return the birds and equipment for pickup. The program concludes with a school-wide assembly where students showcase their learning, share STEM projects, and celebrate their achievements with the entire school community.
